Tourist Guide @ Tour Leader
A license tour guide in Thailand is a professional guide who has obtained the necessary license from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to lead tours and provide information to foreign tourists.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and informative commentary about Thailand’s culture, history, and attractions
- Ensure tourists’ safety and comfort during tours
- Assist with logistical arrangements and problem-solving
- Promote Thailand’s tourism industry and culture
Requirements
- Be at least 20 years old
- Be a Thai national or have a domicile or residence in Thailand
- Have a good command of English or other foreign languages
- Complete a TAT-approved training course (optional but recommended)
- Pass a written exam and/or interview
