The Full Moon Party is a world-renowned, all-night beach rave held monthly on Haad Rin Nok (Sunrise Beach) in Koh Phangan, Thailand.
Key Information
- When: Held every month on the night of the full moon. If it falls on a Buddhist holiday, it will be moved to the night before or after.
- Time: Starts around 7:00 PM and goes until sunrise.
- Entrance Fee: Approximately 200-300 THB. You will receive a wristband.
- Atmosphere: Tens of thousands of people, EDM music, rows of beach bars, fire shows, and UV body painting.
Tips for First-Timers
- Accommodation: Book 1-2 months in advance. Hotels get fully booked and prices can triple during the party.
- Valuables: Leave valuables at your accommodation. Only bring a small amount of cash. Put your phone in a waterproof pouch.
- Getting There: From Phuket, you need to fly to Surat Thani or Koh Samui, then take a ferry to Koh Phangan.
- Safety: Only buy drinks from reputable bars. Do not accept drinks from strangers.
