In Nakhon Chum, Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi Province, a beautiful thread connects the past to the present — the hand-embroidered Mon hat and SabaI.

1. The Icon: Mon Hat with Dok Ma-Tad

Our most famous piece is the Mon hat, 100% hand-embroidered. The signature motif is Dok Ma-Tad (Dillenia Flower), a stunning yellow flower from the local forest that represents strength and beauty. Artisans also stitch Pikul, Jasmine, and the sacred Hongsa Swan — the symbol of the Mon nation.

2. The Elegance: SabaI Embroidery

The story began with faith. Thai-Mon women traditionally wore a breast cloth. When entering the temple, they draped a SabaI over it for modesty. Today, that simple cloth has become a canvas of intricate hand-stitching.

3. Who Owns This Culture?

This is the heritage of the Thai-Mon (Thai of Mon descent). They are Thai people whose ancestors have lived in Nakhon Chum for generations. This is a local Thai culture, not a recent migrant culture.
